I decorated the side of my file cabinet with my two favorite things.. Zebra and Teal! 

The colored rectangles are pockets, each labeled with a week. The pockets will hold their daily writing prompts. I wrote 100 "High School" writing prompts on individual index cards and on Tuesdays and Thursdays they write for the first 20 minutes of class. The used writing prompt then goes into the pocket. If a student is absent, when they get back he/she can look in the pocket and what he/she missed! (Perfection!)
